It’s time to share with you all things new at The Church Studio! Our latest update, the Magnolia Meadows plaque, has arrived! This space pays homage to the legendary JJ Cale, who lived on this very green space in the 1970s. Named after his timeless track, “Magnolia”, from the iconic Shelter Records album, “Naturally”. Come by and see “Magnolia Meadows”, and learn more about JJ, Shelter Records and the history of The Church Studio.
STUDIO UPDATES
The Studio has been busy! This last month, we have had everything from blues rocker, Cody Jasper, and 2000’s rap legend, Afroman. Leon Russell and Denny Cordell were all about mixing styles and personalities together back in the 70’s, and we keep that tradition alive everyday thanks to you!
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
DOUG! When he isn’t playing sweet tunes on his vintage accordion, he is volunteering at The Church Studio. Doug is an exceptional docent and brings a smile to every person who walks through the doors. We are thankful for all he does!
