Today we sit down with the dynamic piano duo Ryan & Ryan, comprised of world-class pianists Donald Ryan and his son Barren. Donald is among some of the most accomplished pianists as the winner of the 9th International Chopin Competition and an inductee in the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. And as you might expect, Barren follows closely behind with a degree from the University of Oklahoma as well as being a prizewinner of many piano competitions including the Oklahoma Israel Exchange Young Artists Competition in 2011. What we want to know is what does it really take to become a world-class musician? What’s it for Barren to follow in the footsteps of such an accomplished musician as Donald?
